We are on a mission to build diagnostic and control technology that support the sectors where there is the greatest opportunity to displace pollution and deliver Net Zero 2050.
What we do
We do this by giving operators more visibility of energy assets through originating data making them run more efficiently, enabling them to react faster and enhancing the decisions they make. Our first focus is on the UK gas network.
New insights from the low pressure gas network
We are working in close partnership with Northern Gas Networks Plc and the wider UK utility gas sector to provide low cost data points across the low pressure gas network. The national low pressure gas network represents over 100,000 km of buried pipeline and contributes to c.65% of the methane emissions.
To deliver data from this gas network, we have built the RENDA SwarmTee – an intrinsically safe, hydrogen ready, fit-and-forget remote monitoring solution that can be easily deployed at scale on the low pressure gas networks. Empowered by the RENDA Cloud, the SwarmTee builds a granular, data-driven picture of any gas network.
Why a SwarmTee? The device works best as part of a swarm across large networks – working together to maximise visibility and insight at scale.
Network remote monitoring but in real time
Data is transmitted either automatically or on-demand to the SwarmCloud network for display and analysis through the intuitive and secure online dashboard. The units are also highly configurable over-the-air, providing ultimate freedom of how and when the data is collected, and multiple devices can be clustered for ease of management. On top of simple pressure monitoring, bespoke alarm thresholds can be set to enable event monitoring.
Networks can quickly be made smart-ready by installing only the sensor during routine access and connecting the datalogger later. RENDA are currently developing further products for the medium pressure network and metallic pipes.
